Farm finder
Say what you want (a Legendary, a metal, gold, ingredients) and it ranks the places and the foes where you are most likely to get it.
Is the game server up?
The game publishes only two things without a login: whether its server is running and whether a guild battle is on. Nothing else about the live game, such as where a boss is or who is online, is public. This asks the game's server directly, and only when you press the button.
How the numbers are worked out
- Who spawns. Each place has a table of 20 foes, weakest first. At your level the game picks a band of slots near your level, with a small chance of an easier band, and then a foe from it. The finder repeats that rule exactly, so the share of spawns for each foe is the game's own.
- What a foe drops. A foe points at a loot table. For each kind of item the table gives a chance; a success rolls again at half the chance, so the finder adds up the expected number of pieces. Plant and creature chances are multiplied by the foe's level, as the game does.
- How good it is. A weapon or armour piece rolls Legendary at a chance set by the foe's level and your Luck. A Daedra or any foe of level 18 or more is a boss and gets the richer ladder, and everything else uses the plain-foe ladder. Which Legendary it becomes follows the family weights on Item rarity.
- Putting it together. A place's figure is the average over the foes that spawn there, skipping any above the level you set. Treasure piles are shown beside it, and use the dungeon's treasure tier.
Left out: titled foes (elite, champions, named), quest and fixed spawns, the Wild Zone bonus online, and the three-item cap on plain foes. Metals use the Drop material odds table. See Loot and drops for the rules in words.
