Questor Offer
The Brotherhood prides itself on always knowing where each Brother is at all times. I could tell you where you were last Tirdas within a foot of dirt. One of our Brothers, however, has disappeared and while on assignment. You will attempt to find [target], and, unless [he/she] has suitable excuse for [his/her] absence, you will account [him/her]. I trust you have time for this, yes?
As you know, no one ever leaves the Dark Brotherhood. One Brother has disappeared on assignment, and we must know if [target] is dead or alive. You have been picked for this assignment.
Refuse Quest
Truly? Well, I suppose you're entitled to refuse an occasional assignment.
Accept Quest
Good. [target] has a cousin in [contact's place] -- a [contact] called [contact] who generally can be found at a place called [contact's town]. Talk to [him/her] -- firmly -- and find where [his/her] cousin is. I'll give you [quest time] days to take care of this business and return.
Quest Complete
[target] was a vampire? Well, that does explain things. If you haven't already, you'll want to get yourself healed at a temple, so you don't end up in [target]'s bloodsucking family.
Rumors During Quest
Nobody, but nobody, doublecrosses the Dark Brotherhood.
[target] supposedly went after some baron somewhere in [the region] before [he/she] vanished.
Rumors Postfailure
Some say that [target] is dead. But others have seen [him/her] ... at night only.
Rumors Postsuccess
Funny, the Brotherhood offing that bloodsucker. You'd think they'd get along.
Apparently, [target]'s last target was more than [he/she] expected him to be.
Questor Postsuccess
Hello, [your first name]. I hope you've had a priest look at you after that vampire battle.
Questor Postfailure
I have nothing but scorn for those who fail their assignments. Begone with you, [your first name].
Quest Log Entry
[the quest date]: [quest giver] of the Dark Brotherhood, in [quest giver's place] wants me to track down a Brother who disappeared, and, if no reasonable explanation is offered, to do the accounting. This character, named [target], has a cousin living in [contact's place], a [contact] named [contact]. I have [quest time] days to find what this cousin knows, track [target] down, and get back to [quest giver's town].
Message 1011
I haven't heard from [target] since [he/she] went off looking for that baron in [the dungeon]. Weird character, that baron. Never came around during the day, lived in that creepy place. It's no wonder someone wanted him dead. Still, if someone was going to stop my cousin's career in the Brotherhood, I wouldn't have expected him to be that skinny, pale baron.
Message 1012
[the quest date]: [contact] told me that [target] went to [the dungeon], looking for some mysterious baron for an accounting. [the dungeon] will be my next stop.
Message 1013
"Let me share with you the immortality the baron gave me," [target] hisses.
