Where to find it

In the shops

The game fills each shelf in a shop by chance when the day starts. A shop has several shelves, so these are the chances for one shelf, and the shop's quality (1 to 20) has to be at least what is shown.

  • Weapon smith: 66% a shelf, in a shop of quality 2 or more
  • Armorer: 19% a shelf, in a shop of quality 2 or more
  • General store: 19% a shelf, in a shop of quality 2 or more
  • Pawn shop: 9% a shelf, in a shop of quality 2 or more

Shops that buy it from you: Armorer, General store, Pawn shop, Weapon smith.

Legendary pieces that can be made from it: Nightwhisper, Tsaesci Fang, Worm's Tooth. Open one to see where it drops.

From foes and treasure

It can drop from any foe or treasure pile whose loot table rolls this kind of item. Each success rolls again at half the chance. The tables, best first:

  • Table F (Giant Loot): 70%
  • Table N (Castle Loot): 60%
  • Table K (Undead Loot): 50%
  • Table L (Nest Loot): 50%
  • Table LR1 (Warrior, Barbarian): 50%
  • Table M (Cave Loot): 40%
  • Table T (Knight Orc Warlord): 40%
  • Table H (Undead armed): 30%
  • Table C (Rangers): 20%
  • Table LR2 (Healer, Orc Shaman): 20%
  • Table LR3 (Spellcasters): 20%
  • Table U (Laboratory Loot): 20%
  • Table O (Rogues): 10%
  • Table P (Spellsword): 10%
  • Table A (Orcs): 5%
  • Table E (Giant): 5%
  • Table G (Undead naked): 1%
  • Table J (Undead bosses): 1%

Every foe and dungeon points at one of these: see the loot tables, and Loot and drops for how the metal is chosen.

These are the values the game runs with by default (and online): the 288 classic templates with Roleplay & Realism: Items' changes applied, and its 14 extra items. Where it changed a classic value, the classic one is listed under Classic values. Weapons and armour are then scaled by their material; see Materials. Weapon condition in this game is drawn from one shared pool, see Materials.
